Many of The environments these warriors occupy have very little amenities. That is where we come in! We can provide them some comforts of home.
MOM 4R MARINES organization usually focuses on an entire battalion, which is approximately over 1000 marines and sailors.
When funds are available we send new books, DVD's and food items that we have learned directly from our Marines and sailors would be gratefully appreciated. Seeing this support from the American citizens truly boosts their morale knowing they are NOT ever forgotten.
Many organizations that send care packages to our military always assume toiletries are the most needed item. I met a Marine last year that had accumulated 37 toothbrushes from his deployment.
Although our military are focused as much as possible on keeping good hygiene, many of those items are available to them. I would advise if you’re sending a package to a friend of yours son or daughter, I would ask what items he has requested and assume that the family provides them with hygiene items. Use your money wisely. Most of our military also do not eat food products with high sugar content. They prefer food items with protein. Protein bars, beef jerky, slim Jims, cookies and candy are good too, Black Socks are always needed!, I would suggest only sending a small amount of candy. Again this is only from my personal experiences. Books, DVD’s and Black Socks are always in demand.
When needed MOM 4R MARINES also will provide support to an individual Marine, sailor or their family member facing a dire situation, if funds are available, and they qualify in the mission statement of MOM 4R MARINES.
Being a parent of a former Marine, I know the expenses families incur by sending care packages every week or so. With today’s economy many families are told what their Marines and sailors want/need and feel they must send those items no matter how bad they have it economically. This is a huge strain to many military families. Shipping costs alone for a 12x12 package cost approx $10.00.
WE MUST CONTINUE TO SEND OUR LOVE, SUPPORT AND HUGS YEAR ROUND!!!
MOM 4R MARINES continues to send support to those deployed year round. Presently we are seeing many units now focused on going back into Afghanistan. We know these units will be facing volatile environments, as it was in the early days of Iraq.
Many of these AO's (Area of Operations) are deep in the mountains of Afghanistan we can assume these units will be facing volatile environments, as it was in the early days of Iraq.

All donations are applied directly toward providing goods and/or services to Marines and Sailors or to provide logistics necessary for the projects and operation of the organization.This is a 100% volunteered driven organization with total focus on supporting our Marines and sailors and if needed their families.
